大舩神社は、岐阜県加茂郡八百津町にある神社です。

昭和49年（1974年）に大舩神社社叢が岐阜県指定天然記念物に指定されています。

境内には樹齢約1100年の大杉が鎮座しており、八百津の街を見守っています。

毎年4月第2日曜日に行われる、”八百津だんじり祭り”では、

3つに分かれた船形のだんじりが曳かれ、

全長約10m、高さ約6m、幅約3m、総重量約4tのだんじりが奉納されます。

掛け声とともに大舩神社の石畳の坂を駆け上がる迫力は圧巻です。

Oobune shrine Overview

Oobune Shrine is a shrine located in Yaotsu-cho, Kamo-gun, Gifu Prefecture.

In 1974, Oobuna Shrine was designated as the Gifu Prefecture Natural Monument.

The great cedar, about 1100 years old, is glowing on the ground and overlooks the city of Yaotsu.

At the Yaotsu Danjiri Festival, held on the second Sunday April every year.

A boat-shaped festival car divided into three are pulled by people.

The festival cars total length is about 10m, the height is 6m, the width is about 3m, and a total weight is about 4t.

They powerflly climeb up the stone pavement slope in Oobune shrine.
